BUCHHOLZ-RELAY FOR TRANSFORMERS: PROTECTION SYSTEM FOR LIQUID-FILLED TRANSFORMERS
BUCHHOLZ-RELAY acts as a central protection system for liquid-filled transformers and reactors with oil conservator. Installed in the pipeline between tank and oil conservator, it reacts to faults which occur inside the transformer. Damages which are not visible can be detected early by the Buchholz relay.
Gases moving in the direction of the oil conservator or shock waves created by the rapid gas development trigger the signaling system of the Buchholz relay. The Buchholz relay also takes over the function of an oil level indicator when there is not enough oil in the conservator or when there is an oil leak.
Msafe
- Extra function reliability due to the use of solid-body floats
- Helium leak test as guarantee of oil and gas leak proofness
- Two or four switching contacts
- Protected reed switches
- Remote testing possibility
- Top-quality, reliable material
EB Sereis
The EB series buchholz relay is waterproof and features an IP65 protection degree, enabling its usage even in very rainy and wet environments.
The EB series is even equipped with a large graduated window, allowing clear and easy inspection from the outside.
The EB series buchholz relay has been designed in order to enable the replacement of both similar old (DIN 42566) and new models (EN50216/2).
The EB series is also suitable for use with a EG3.3 gas collecting device that allows gases to be drained from the relay accumulation chamber operating at eye level.
EE Sereis
EE series is equipped with a bottom petcock that allows for gas injection testing. During transformer setup, commissioning or maintenance, proper Buchholz relay contacting can be checked by pumping or injecting compressed air from below.
The EE series Buchholz relay is waterproof and features an IP65 protection degree, enabling its usage even in very rainy and wet environments.
The EE series is even equipped with a large graduated window, allowing clear and easy inspection from the outside.
The EE Buchholz relay has been designed so that it can replace both similar old and new models according to British standards.
The EE series is also suitable for use with a RG3.3 gas collecting device that allows gases to be drained from the relay accumulation chamber operating at eye level; RG3.3 also enables gas injection testing.
